Gold of the Earth

Inspired by mineral textures, this series explores the underground world, where the earth conceals its hidden treasures.

 

Deposits, lava flows and cracked earth revealing gold are all symbols of our planet's intimate and mysterious world.

 

Through this work, contrasts take shape: the bright white and deep black, the matte and shiny textures evoke the invisible struggle between solidity and fluidity, fragility and strength.

 

The paper, cracking, fraying, flowing and layering, mimics the subtle movements of the ever-changing earth's crust.

 

Each work unfolds like a metaphor for the earth in motion, its buried secrets sometimes glimpsed, like a flash of gold emerging from the darkness.
